Bandwidth monitoring on Windows

What bandwidth means and how to observe real usage on Windows.

Bandwidth is the maximum rate a connection can carry. Throughput is what you actually get at a moment. A monitor shows throughput.

If throughput stays well below what you pay for during a large download, run a speed test, try wired Ethernet, and check for other devices using the network. See checking network speed.
