Your Internet Speed. Always in Sight.
Monitor download and upload speeds, keep useful network information visible, and explore system metrics from a compact Windows desktop interface.
Demo values for illustration. This preview does not read your connection.
Why keep your network speed visible?
A persistent indicator shows what your PC is transferring right now, so you notice problems and activity without opening another tool.
Watch active downloads
See at a glance whether a large download is moving, slowing down or stalled.
Notice upload activity
Spot a cloud backup or sync using your upload bandwidth before it slows a video call.
Check the network while you work
Keep an eye on connection activity without switching windows.
See CPU and memory load
Tell quickly whether a slow PC is busy or the connection is the bottleneck.
Keep your metrics in view
Choose only the numbers you care about and keep them where you can see them.
Understand usage over time
Review history to see when your connection is busiest.
Choose how it appears
Show your metrics in a floating window, a compact taskbar readout or a small custom-colored panel. These are illustrative demos with sample values.
Illustrative only. Taskbar behavior depends on your Windows version; see taskbar display.
Everything it can show
Network, system and appearance features, each with a detailed page.
Real-time network speed
Download and upload activity, live.
CPU and RAM
Processor load and memory use beside your network speed.
Taskbar display
Compact metrics near the system tray, where supported.
Floating window
Draggable, always-on-top, with adjustable transparency.
Skins and PNG support
Fonts, colors, labels and PNG backgrounds.
Hardware temperatures
CPU, GPU, disk and motherboard sensors where hardware allows.

System monitoring
Keep an eye on the machine as well as the network.
- CPU usage to see when the processor is busy.
- RAM usage to see how much memory is in use.
- CPU frequency to watch how the clock speed changes.
- Hardware temperatures for CPU, GPU, disk and motherboard sensors your hardware reports.
Network monitoring
Understand what your connection is doing and where.
- Live download and upload in the units you prefer.
- Adapter selection for Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN and other adapters.
- Traffic history and statistics, useful on metered connections.
- Speed alerts when values cross a threshold you choose.
A traffic monitor is not a speed test
They answer different questions. Use both for a full picture.
| Traffic monitor (NetSpeedDisplay) | Internet speed test | |
|---|---|---|
| Question answered | What is my PC doing right now? | What can my connection deliver? |
| Measures | Real traffic as it happens | Maximum throughput in a short test |
| Runs | Continuously, in the background | On demand |
| Best for | Watching downloads, backups and activity | Checking your plan or Wi-Fi quality |
Get started in minutes

Standard or Lite
Pick the edition that matches the permissions and sensors you want.
Standard
Includes hardware temperature monitoring. Reading hardware sensors may require administrator privileges.
Lite
Runs as a standard user, with no administrator rights needed.
Per the product specification. Compare editions
Runs on modest hardware
Baseline requirements. Recommended hardware is not needed for basic operation.

Download with confidence
Download only from the official page, and compare the SHA-256 checksum when one is published. Never disable antivirus or SmartScreen to run a file.
- No account needed. Downloads are not gated behind sign-ups or forms.
- Verify your file. A one-line PowerShell command checks the checksum.
- Report problems. Email [email protected] with security concerns.
Common questions
Quick answers. The FAQ has more, and the troubleshooting pages cover fixes.
Where can I download NetSpeedDisplay?
From the official Download page, which links only to the configured official release source. Release links are still being finalized.
How can I verify a downloaded package?
When an official SHA-256 checksum is published, compare it with your file's checksum using PowerShell's Get-FileHash command.
How can I report a security issue?
Email [email protected] with “Security” in the subject. The security page lists what to include.
Does NetSpeedDisplay support Windows 11?
Windows 11 is the primary target audience. Verified results appear on the compatibility page as they are confirmed.
Can I run it without administrator rights?
The supplied specification says the Lite edition runs as a standard user and hardware monitoring in the Standard edition may need administrator rights. This is pending verification.
Does NetSpeedDisplay replace an internet speed test?
No. A traffic monitor shows data your PC is sending and receiving right now. A speed test measures the most your connection can deliver.
