Floating window

Position, transparency and always-on-top behavior of the NetSpeedDisplay window.

The floating window is a small, draggable panel that keeps your selected metrics visible while you work.

What to look for

  • Position: drag the window to a screen edge or corner where it does not cover content you need.
  • Always on top: keeps the panel above other windows, if supported.
  • Transparency: lets content show through. Lower transparency is easier to read.
  • Refresh rate: how often values update. Confirm the actual interval in the application before relying on it.

Reading the numbers

The panel shows current traffic, not your connection’s maximum capability. See download vs upload speed and speed units.
