Always on top: keep the speed window in view
Keep the NetSpeedDisplay floating window above other windows so your speed stays visible while you work, game or present.
By default, other windows can cover the floating window. Always on Top keeps it in front.
When it helps
- You watch a long download while using other apps.
- You monitor upload during a video call or stream.
- You use a full-screen or maximized app and still want a speed readout.
How to turn it on
Right-click the tray icon or the display and tick Always on Top.
Make it unobtrusive
Always-on-top windows can be distracting, so tune them:
- Lower the window opacity.
- Choose subtle colors.
- Place it in a corner and lock its position.
- Enable Mouse Penetrate so clicks pass through.
Always on top or taskbar?
If the taskbar is always visible on your PC, the taskbar display may be enough. Use the floating window with Always on Top when the taskbar is hidden or when you want a larger readout.
Some full-screen exclusive apps may draw over other windows. In that case, run the app in windowed or borderless mode if you want to see overlays.
